AnushkaSharma

अनुष्का शर्मा

Sun and Mars both sit at full classical strength in her chart. Nobody hands you two of those.

1 MAY 1988 · AYODHYA, UTTAR PRADESH

TL;DR

Her kundli has three placements most charts get zero of

Sun exalted. Mars exalted. Venus parked on its own home turf.
Three planets at classical peak strength, in one birth chart.
Sun runs authority and self-assurance. Mars runs drive and nerve. Both are maxed out here — which lines up with a public reputation for blunt, unfiltered interviews and for making sharp career pivots on her own terms, not because anyone pushed her into them.

And there's a catch worth being upfront about: one planet in this chart — Mercury — actually changes sign partway through her birth day. More on that below, because we're not going to pretend it isn't there.
Authority
Sun ★
Exalted in Aries — the self-planet at its classical peak.
Drive
Mars ★
Exalted in Capricorn — courage with strategy attached, not just temper.
Charm, running now
Venus ★
Own sign in Taurus, and it's her current sub-period since Feb 2026.
The wildcard
Mercury ⇄
The one placement that isn't settled — flips sign around 6:33pm that day.
The plot so far

No acting school. No cricket. Two industries anyway.

Debut to comeback, and which planetary chapter was running the desk each time — read alongside her computed horoscope below.

How to read this: the line is roughly how visible she's been in the public eye each year — top is everywhere, bottom is deliberately out of frame. The brackets underneath show which multi-year planetary chapter (mahadasha) was in charge.

2008 · THE DEBUT

Zero acting classes. Straight to a Yash Raj lead.

Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi opposite Shah Rukh Khan
  • Spotted by Aditya Chopra from modelling work and cast in a lead role with no formal acting background.
  • A commercial hit that made her a household name overnight, in an industry that usually asks for years of struggle first.
🔭 Jupiter–Mercury antardasha. Mercury runs communication and quick learning — and it's the same planet whose sign is unstable on her birth day. First of two callbacks.

2013–2016 · THE PIVOT

She started signing her own paychecks

Clean Slate Filmz founded 2013
  • Started one of Hindi cinema's few actress-led production houses, at a time when that wasn't a common move for a leading lady.
  • Backed and starred in NH10 (2015) and Pink (2016) — a road-thriller and a courtroom drama, both built around violence against women, both commercially and critically strong.
🔭 Pink released under her Jupiter–Mars antardasha — Mars, her other exalted planet. The film openly about standing your ground landed under the sub-period of her fight planet, at full strength.

DEC 2017 · THE WEDDING

Married quietly, in another country

Virat Kohli Tuscany, Italy, then a Delhi & Mumbai reception
  • Married India's cricket captain in a small ceremony abroad, then two receptions back home for family, friends and teammates.
  • Instantly became one of the most-searched names in Indian sport, despite never having played it. See her husband's kundli here.
🔭 Jupiter–Rahu antardasha — Rahu is the sudden-and-massive-public-attention planet. It also covered the loudest stretch of the online trolling addressed below.

2019–2023 · THE STEP BACK

She left the frame on her own schedule

Daughter Vamika born January 2021
  • Took a multi-year gap from filming to focus on production and family — a choice she's stated directly and repeatedly, not a studio decision made for her.
  • Vamika was born right as her Saturn mahadasha — the discipline-and-boundaries chapter — took over her chart.
🔭 Saturn–Saturn antardasha — Saturn running its own sub-period. Structure, patience and setting the terms yourself is exactly Saturn's department.

2024–2025 · THE RETURN

Second kid, then back on a film set

Son Akaay born February 2024
  • Welcomed her second child, then returned to acting with Chakda 'Xpress — a cricket drama, of all genres — after the multi-year break.
  • Landed under Saturn–Mercury: Mercury again, the sign-flipping planet, showing up at the second big inflection point in her career.
🔭 Right now (since Feb 2026) she's moved into Saturn–Venus — her own-sign planet, running the current chapter.
The tea ☕

The two things people actually argue about

Both are things she's addressed herself, on the record. Here's the public timeline, and what the chart's pattern lines up with — not proof of anything, just a lens.

📱 The trolling she called out publicly
What's public

From around 2014 onward she was repeatedly blamed online whenever Virat Kohli had a bad match, and separately trolled over her own films and choices.

She's spoken about it directly in multiple interviews — calling it out as harassment, not fair criticism, and has been vocal about the mental-health toll of pile-ons aimed at public figures' families.

What the chart hints

The loudest stretch of this — 2017 through mid-2019 — falls inside her Jupiter–Rahu antardasha. Rahu is the classic "sudden, oversized, uncontrollable public attention" planet.

Read as a pattern, not a cause: outsized visibility with an equally outsized downside, arriving together.

🎬 "Did she quit acting?"
What's public

Tabloids spent 2019–2023 running some version of "Anushka Sharma has quit films" while she had no releases.

She's corrected this repeatedly and specifically: it was a deliberate choice to prioritise production, a newborn, then a second child — not a career in decline.

What the chart hints

That entire gap sits inside her Saturn mahadasha — the planet of boundaries, patience and doing things at your own pace, not the crowd's.

A Saturn era reads as "sets its own timeline" far more naturally than it reads as "faded out."

Being straight with you: none of the above is the chart explaining or excusing anything that happened in her life — astrology can only offer a pattern to look at after the fact. The facts are public record; the astrological reading is interpretation, offered for context, not verdicts.
What the sky wrote

Four planets. Four receipts.

Sun · in Aries
exalted

The self-planet at full charge

  • Sun runs ego, authority and plain self-assurance. Hers sits in Aries — the one sign where the Sun is at its classical peak.
  • It's the placement astrologers point to for people who don't perform confidence, they just default to it.
  • Tracks with a media reputation built on blunt, no-filter answers in an industry that mostly rewards diplomatic non-answers.
🔭 Sun in Aries — exalted. Bharani nakshatra, pada 2.

Mars · in Capricorn
exalted

Courage with a strategy attached

  • Mars runs drive, aggression and nerve. Hers is exalted in Capricorn — disciplined, patient force rather than a short fuse.
  • Capricorn is Saturn's sign, so this isn't reckless Mars — it's Mars that plans the fight first.
  • Fits someone who backed two films openly about violence against women with her own production company's name on them, years before that was a safe career move.
🔭 Mars in Capricorn — exalted. Shravana nakshatra, pada 4.

Venus · in Taurus
own sign

Home turf, and it's her turn

  • Venus runs charm, love, money and the arts — parked in Taurus, the one sign it actually owns.
  • Taurus is also the sign most tied to glamour, luxury and the arts industry itself, so an own-sign Venus here is about as on-brand as a placement gets.
  • As of February 2026 it's literally her current sub-period — the planet in charge of this exact chapter of her life.
🔭 Venus in Taurus — own sign. Mrigashira nakshatra, pada 2. Running now: Saturn–Venus, 2026–2029.

Mercury · Aries→Taurus
unstable

The one planet that couldn't make up its mind

  • Every other placement on this page is rock solid across her entire birth day. Mercury isn't.
  • Our own engine, scanned hour by hour, shows Mercury sitting in Aries for the first ~18.5 hours of 1 May 1988, then crossing into Taurus at roughly 6:33 PM IST that evening.
  • Since Aries covers the clear majority of the day, that's what we publish as her primary placement everywhere on this page — but it's genuinely unsettled without her exact birth minute.
🔭 Mercury — Aries → Taurus, ~18:33 IST. The only unstable sign in her whole chart. Krittika nakshatra, pada 1 (Aries side).

Astrology, but make it make sense

Zero background needed. Read this once and you can decode the chart above yourself — no astrologer required.

LESSON 01

What a birth chart even is

It's a photo of the sky from the exact spot and second someone was born — her janam kundli, in the Hindi term for it. Where each planet was sitting, frozen.

Vedic astrology treats that snapshot as the raw material you were handed — not fate, your starting kit.

Hers: 1 May 1988, Ayodhya. That sky had the Sun and Mars both at their strongest possible sign, and Venus sitting on its own home turf. Three placements do most of the talking.
LESSON 02

The planets, and what each one runs

Nine of them. Think of them as nine departments, each running one part of life.

PlanetRunsWhere hers is
☉ Sunego, authority, the selfAries ★ exalted
☾ Mooninstinct, moods, gut feelLibra
♂ Marsdrive, courage, the bodyCapricorn ★ exalted
☿ Mercuryspeech, cleverness, learningAries ⇄ unstable
♃ Jupitergrowth, luck, judgementAries
♀ Venuscharm, love, money, the artsTaurus ★ own
♄ Saturnpatience, grind, boundariesSagittarius (R)
☊ Rahuobsession, sudden fame, chaosAquarius (R)
☋ Ketuletting go, detachmentLeo (R)
LESSON 03

Why "which sign" actually matters

Every planet has signs where it's comfortable and signs where it struggles. Same planet, different room.

  • Exalted — the planet's classical best-case sign. As strong as that planet ever gets.
  • Own sign — the planet owns the place outright. Full strength, no permission needed.
  • Everywhere else — a guest. Functional, not special.
Her scorecard: two planets exalted (Sun, Mars) and one on its own sign (Venus) — three strong placements in one chart. Most people get zero. She got three, which is closer to main-character casting than average.
LESSON 04

Dashas — why timing is the whole game

This is the part most people have never heard of, and it's the most useful.

Your planets don't all act at once. They take turns running your life, for years at a stretch. Vedic astrology calls a planet's turn a dasha. Whoever's turn it is colours that whole chapter.

Her turns, computed:
Rahu 1988–2003 · Jupiter 2003–2019 · Saturn 2019–2038 (current) · Mercury 2038–2055

Her entire film career from debut to comeback runs across just two mahadashas: Jupiter carried the rise, Saturn is carrying the step-back-and-return.
LESSON 05

Sub-periods — the chapters inside the chapter

A 16- or 19-year turn is too blunt to be useful on its own, so each one splits into shorter stretches run by the other planets. That's where the year-to-year story lives.

Inside her chart:
Jupiter–Mercury (2008) → the debut
Jupiter–Mars (2016) → Pink, under her other exalted planet
Jupiter–Rahu (2017–19) → the wedding, and the loudest trolling
Saturn–Saturn (2019–22) → motherhood, stepping back
Saturn–Mercury (2022–25) → second child, the acting return
Saturn–Venus (2026–29) → running right now
LESSON 06

The one placement that isn't settled: Mercury

Everything above is solid because it only needs the date and place of birth — which are public. But we ran an hour-by-hour scan of her entire birth day anyway, the same way we check for any close call.

Mercury sits in Aries from midnight until roughly 6:33 PM IST, then crosses into Taurus for the rest of the day. Every other planet in her chart holds its sign for the full 24 hours — Mercury is the single exception.

Since Aries covers about 18.5 of the day's 24 hours, we treat Mercury in Aries as her primary, majority-of-day placement everywhere on this page. If she was born after roughly 6:33 in the evening, her Mercury is in Taurus instead — we don't know which, because no birth time for her has ever been published.
LESSON 07

What we genuinely can't tell you

Here's where most celebrity astrology sites quietly cheat, and we won't.

There are two halves to a chart. Which sign each planet is in — that only needs the date, so everything above is solid. And the houses, which need the exact minute of birth.

No birth time for Anushka Sharma has ever been published. AstroSage — usually the first stop for this — shows a placeholder chart that even miscomputes from the wrong city. We ran her chart across the full 24 hours instead: every other placement holds, but the rising sign would land on a different one of all 12 signs depending on the hour.

So on this page you will not see us say "her 7th house of marriage" or "her career house" — that would be a guess dressed as fact. Other sites will. Ask them which birth time they used.
LESSON 08

So — is Anushka Sharma manglik?

One of the most-searched questions about her, and the honest answer is the same one every no-birth-time chart runs into.

"Manglik" (mangal dosha) depends on which house Mars sits in relative to the lagna — and houses need the birth time. Without it, this cannot be honestly answered either way, and neither can whether any dosha would be cancelled.

What we can say: her Mars is exalted in Capricorn — about as strong as Mars gets, sign-wise. Whether that lands in a manglik house is unknowable without her exact birth minute. Any source giving you a confident yes, no, or a specific remedy/gemstone for her chart has picked a birth time and isn't telling you which one.

Quick answers

What people ask about her kundli

FAQ 01

What is Anushka Sharma's birth time?

No verified birth time has ever been published for her. AstroSage's own listing is an unrated placeholder that miscomputes from the wrong city, so this page publishes only what her birth date settles honestly — zodiac signs, nakshatra and dasha eras — and never houses or lagna.

FAQ 02

What is her zodiac sign and nakshatra?

By Vedic (sidereal) reckoning her Moon sits in Libra, in the Swati nakshatra. Her Sun-side placements put the Sun exalted in Aries alongside Mercury and Jupiter. The full birth chart is above — every position computed, not copied from anywhere.

FAQ 03

Is Anushka Sharma manglik?

It can't be honestly answered without a verified birth time, because mangal dosha is a house-level question. What's solid: her Mars is exalted in Capricorn. Whether that placement falls in a manglik house — or whether any dosha it created would be cancelled — depends on an exact birth minute nobody has published.

FAQ 04

Do Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli's kundlis match?

Real 36-guna Milan matching needs a verified birth time for both people, and neither has one published. What we can compare honestly are Moon signs and nakshatras — her Libra Moon in Swati against his own chart, which you can see on his Virat Kohli kundli page. A proper compatibility read needs your own birth details, not a celebrity guess.
