Her speech planet sits at full strength. Twenty-five years of famously unfiltered interviews later, the chart checks out.
The line is her standing in Hindi cinema. The bar underneath is which planet was running her life — Vedic astrology hands a life to one planet at a time, in a fixed order, for fixed lengths.
Three storms, all public record. What the chart says about the pattern behind them — not the gossip, and not a verdict on anyone.
Around Tashan (2008) she became the industry's poster case for an ultra-thin "size zero" look, publicly criticised as setting an unhealthy standard for young fans.
She later spoke openly against extreme dieting and worked with a nutritionist — pushing back on the very frame that had made her a case study.
Landed deep in her Rahu stretch. Rahu is obsession and a public gaze fixed somewhere it shouldn't be.
A spotlight fixed on her body rather than her work tracks with a classic Rahu-era story.
Her October 2012 marriage to Saif Ali Khan, a Hindu–Muslim union, drew a wave of communal commentary online and in parts of the press.
Neither of them engaged with it directly. They've now been married for well over a decade, with two children.
This sits right at the start of Jupiter — the expansion planet, which also governs marriage.
Read plainly, the chart's take on the period is warm; the backlash says more about the commentary than the placement.
She kept public appearances and film commitments visibly pregnant in both 2016 and 2020–21, and returned to promotion and workouts soon after each birth.
The choice drew sustained "bad mother" trolling alongside real admiration, especially online.
Both births sit inside the same Jupiter stretch that governs children and growth.
The chart doesn't separate "praised" from "criticised" — it just marks the period as her most expansive. The discourse is public opinion, not the chart's business.
🔭 The chart bit: her Rahu mahadasha, tail into what became Jupiter. Rahu is reinvention under pressure — proving a name wrong, in public, repeatedly.
🔭 The chart bit: the back half of Jupiter running into Saturn. Saturn is endurance — the planet that keeps showing up long after everyone assumed you'd stopped.
Granddaughter of Raj Kapoor, daughter of Randhir Kapoor and Babita, sister of Karisma Kapoor — one of Hindi cinema's oldest acting dynasties.
Mercury exalted, not inherited.A blunt on-camera one-liner of hers became one of Bollywood's most-recycled meme templates, still recirculated years later as shorthand for her bluntness.
Textbook exalted Mercury.Co-authored a pregnancy guide in 2021 drawing on both her own pregnancies — aimed at conversations Indian celebrities mostly avoided having in public.
Jupiter MD — expansion, on paper. Her Moon sits in Shravana, pada 3 — the nakshatra of listening and absorption, a lunar mansion often linked to performers who mimic instinctively.
The read behind the range. Her janam kundli, computed from her birth date, published birth time and birthplace with the same engine behind our paid reports. Signs only on this build — here's why, in the caption below.
Three planets stacked in one sign, and almost nothing anywhere else — that emptiness is what makes the Virgo stellium a genuine standout rather than a stretch. A published birth time exists for her (08:39, Breach Candy Hospital), which is enough to lock in nakshatra padas and exact dasha dates — but it isn't independently Rodden-rated, so this build stops short of lagna and house-level claims. Lesson 06 explains why that line matters.
Zero background needed. Read this once and you can decode the chart above yourself — no astrologer required.
It's a photo of the sky from the exact spot and second you were born. Where each planet was sitting, frozen — that's the whole idea behind a birth chart.
Vedic astrology says that snapshot describes the raw material you were handed — not your fate, your starting kit.
Nine of them. Think of them as nine departments, each running one part of a life.
| Planet | Runs | Where hers is |
|---|---|---|
| ☉ Sun | identity, status, ego | Virgo |
| ☾ Moon | mind, mood, instinct | Capricorn Shravana |
| ♂ Mars | drive, fight, courage | Libra |
| ☿ Mercury | speech, logic, wit | Virgo ★ exalted |
| ♃ Jupiter | growth, reach, blessings | Leo |
| ♀ Venus | charm, romance, beauty | Cancer |
| ♄ Saturn | patience, grind, delays | Virgo |
| ☊ Rahu | hunger, obsession | Cancer retrograde |
| ☋ Ketu | letting go, detachment | Capricorn retrograde |
Every planet has signs where it's comfortable and signs where it struggles. Same planet, wildly different output depending on where it lands.
This is the bit most people have never heard of, and it's where the real story usually is.
Your life splits into long stretches, each one run by a single planet. Fixed order, fixed lengths, and which one you start in is decided by exactly where the Moon was at birth. The technical name is dasha.
A nineteen-year stretch is too blunt to be useful, so each one splits again into sub-periods, each handed to a different planet. That's how astrologers get from "this decade" to "this year".
A chart has two halves: the signs, which only need the date, and the houses, which need the exact minute, because the rising sign changes roughly every two hours.
A birth time for her is publicly published — 08:39, sourced to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai. That's a hospital-adjacent record, meaningfully more reliable than the astrology-book guesses common for older Bollywood birth data. But it has never been graded by the Rodden rating system professional researchers use to certify a birth time as verified.
The most-asked astrology question about almost any married Indian celebrity, and the honest answer here is a shrug with a reason attached.
Manglik status depends entirely on which house Mars sits in — 1st, 4th, 7th, 8th or 12th. Houses need a Rodden-grade birth minute, and hers doesn't clear that bar yet (Lesson 06).
The grid earlier on this page is a South-Indian chart, the easiest of the three regional styles to learn because the signs never move.
Twelve boxes around the edge, one per zodiac sign, always in the same places. Pisces top-left, then clockwise: Aries, Taurus, Gemini along the top, and so on. Memorise the ring once and you can read any South-Indian kundli for the rest of your life.
A planet doesn't only affect the sign it sits in. It also throws influence at the sign directly opposite — astrologers call this an aspect, and every planet gets at least this one, sign-for-sign, regardless of houses.
Two words that get thrown around a lot and sound far worse than they are.
Retrograde means a planet appears to move backwards across the sky — an optical effect of Earth overtaking it, not an actual reversal. Rahu and Ketu are shown retrograde by definition, always, for every chart on earth — that's normal, not a red flag specific to her.
Combust means a planet sits very close to the Sun and gets lost in its glare, traditionally read as dimming its strength. That needs exact degrees, which this build doesn't carry, so we're not claiming any combustion here rather than guess.
Worth being blunt, since this page has spent a while treating a chart as a serious object.
A time of 08:39 is publicly published and sourced to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai — more reliable than the astrology-book guesses common for older Bollywood birth data, but not independently Rodden-rated. This page uses it for nakshatra padas and exact dasha dates, and deliberately stops short of lagna or house-based claims.
By Vedic (sidereal) reckoning, her Moon sits in Capricorn in the Shravana nakshatra (pada 3), and her Sun is in Virgo — alongside an exalted Mercury and Saturn in the same sign. The full birth chart is above, computed, not copied.
Manglik status depends on which house Mars occupies, and that needs a Rodden-grade birth minute her published time doesn't yet carry. What's solid: her Mars sits in Libra, a neutral sign. Beyond that, this page doesn't publish a verdict — see Lesson 07.
Yes — the same computed chart, dashas and disclosures are published on her Hindi-language kundli page.
Real searches from Google India around her horoscope and family — including a compatibility read against Saif Ali Khan's own chart, one of the five paid reports below.
Her sharpest planet is exalted, and it's been running her public image for 25 years. See what's running yours.
Method. Every planetary position here was computed from her birth date, published birth time and birthplace using the Swiss Ephemeris with the Lahiri ayanamsa — the same engine behind our paid reports, not copied from another astrology site. Her birth time (08:39, Breach Candy Hospital, Mumbai) is publicly published but carries no independent Rodden rating, so this page uses it for nakshatra and dasha precision only and makes no lagna or house-based claims, including no manglik verdict.
On the public discourse covered here. The 2007–08 body-image criticism, the 2012 marriage commentary and the post-pregnancy trolling are documented public reactions, not legal or criminal matters. They're included as real periods of her public life, not as judgments on anyone.
