- He took a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University, became a disciple of Mahant Avaidyanath at the Gorakhnath Math in Gorakhpur, and was first elected to the Lok Sabha from Gorakhpur in 1998, at 26 — the first of five consecutive terms.
- On 12 September 2014, following Mahant Avaidyanath's death, he became Mahant — head — of the Gorakhnath Math, in the Nath sampradaya.
Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh
- He was sworn in as Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh on 19 March 2017. The photograph above is from that same day at Lucknow, where he received the Prime Minister as Chief-Minister-designate.
- He sat in the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council from 2017 to 2022.
The administrative years
- The photograph is from a "Transformation of Aspirational Districts" review meeting at Lucknow in April 2018, where he sat alongside the then Union Home Minister.

Why "which sign" actually matters
Every planet has signs where it is comfortable and signs where it struggles. Same planet, different room, different output.

Dashas — why timing is normally the whole game
This is the bit most people have never heard of, and it is usually the most useful part of a chart.
Planets don't all act at once. They take turns running a life, for years at a stretch, in a fixed order that the Moon's exact position sets at birth. A planet's turn is a dasha; the full lifetime sequence is the Vimshottari dasha.

Why you will not find a single dasha date here
The nakshatra fixes the order. But the balance of the very first dasha — how much of it was already used up at the moment of birth — depends on exactly where inside that nakshatra the Moon sat. And the Moon covers roughly 13 degrees a day, while a nakshatra is only 13°20′ wide.
So across one single day, the Moon sweeps nearly the whole nakshatra. The order holds. Every date slides.

There is no honest way to pick one. So we publish none of them. A site that shows you dates has silently chosen an hour — it is worth asking which.
The two boundaries the Moon crosses that day
Nakshatras are 27 lunar mansions carving up the sky, each ruled by a planet. Whichever one the Moon occupies at birth decides which planet's mahadasha runs first.

A chart has two halves. Which sign each planet is in needs only the date, so everything above is solid. And the houses, which need the exact minute, because the rising sign changes roughly every two hours.
