The teacher-planet is the one graha here on home ground — parked in the nakshatra whose name means "the root".

5 JUN 1972 · PAURI GARHWAL

TL;DR

One planet at home. Zero datable years.

In Vedic astrology Jupiter is the guru — teacher, judgement, dharma, and in the older texts, renunciation. In this janam kundli Jupiter is the single graha standing in its own sign, Sagittarius, and it sits inside Mula, the nakshatra whose name literally means the root.
The rest of the chart is unusually crowded: Sun, Mercury and Saturn all pile into one nakshatra, Rohini — three of nine grahas inside a single 13°20′ strip of sky.

And then the part most sites skip. No verified birth time exists for him. So this page publishes the dasha order and refuses to print dasha dates. We measured exactly how bad it is: depending on the hour, his first mahadasha ends anywhere between 1972 and 1988. Every site printing a confident timeline has picked an hour and not told you which.

How to read this: the steps are public offices held, each a matter of record — not popularity, not performance. The band below is his Vimshottari dasha order. It deliberately carries no dates; the next section explains why it can't.

Panchur, mathematics, and Gorakhpur

MP at 26 Gorakhpur, 1998
  • He was born on 5 June 1972 in Panchur, Pauri Garhwal — then part of Uttar Pradesh, and in Uttarakhand since 2000 — as Ajay Mohan Singh Bisht. "Yogi Adityanath" is his monastic name.
  • He took a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University, became a disciple of Mahant Avaidyanath at the Gorakhnath Math in Gorakhpur, and was first elected to the Lok Sabha from Gorakhpur in 1998, at 26 — the first of five consecutive terms.
  • On 12 September 2014, following Mahant Avaidyanath's death, he became Mahant — head — of the Gorakhnath Math, in the Nath sampradaya.
🔭 Sign-level only: Jupiter, the graha of the teacher and the renunciate, is the one planet in this chart standing in its own sign. We are not claiming it caused anything above — only that it is the one placement that holds no matter what hour he was born.

  • He sat in the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council from 2017 to 2022.
🔭 Nothing here claims a birth chart predicted or explains this. Without a verified minute there is no lagna, no tenth house and no dated dasha to attach it to — and saying so is more useful to you than inventing one.

🔭 Saturn — the graha traditionally tied to long administration, patience and grind — sits combust in Rohini here, meaning it rises and sets close enough to the Sun to be invisible. Astrologers disagree sharply about what combustion does. We can hand you the placement; we cannot hand you an outcome.

Longest-serving holder of the office in Uttar Pradesh
  • He returned for a second term in March 2022 and has been a member of the Legislative Assembly from Gorakhpur Urban since then.
  • As of August 2026 he remains Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, and is the longest-serving holder of that office in the state's history.
  • Above: the foundation stone of the international cricket stadium at Varanasi, September 2023.
🔭 So what dasha is he running right now? Genuinely unanswerable. Depending on the hour of 5 June 1972, the mahadasha running today computes as either Ketu or Venus. Not "probably one of them" — those are the two answers the arithmetic gives, and nothing in the public record picks between them.

A caution we would rather give you than bury: the one circulating birth time for him, 6:00am, is unrated and unsourced, and different astrology sites publish different ascendants for him, which is what an unverified time looks like from the outside. This page treats it as one unverified figure, not as data. Lesson 05 below shows the measurement.

Asked and answered

Three questions, answered straight

The three things people actually search around this horoscope. Each one splits what is public record from what we compute — and where the honest answer is "we can't", it says that.

🕐 Why won't this page print a dasha timeline?
What's out there

Plenty of astrology sites publish a confident Vimshottari dasha table for him, complete with start and end dates, and a named "current mahadasha".

What we compute

We ran his chart at all 1,440 minutes of 5 June 1972. His first mahadasha ends somewhere between October 1972 and June 1988 — a sixteen-year spread. The mahadasha running today comes out Ketu for an early birth and Venus for a later one.

Both cannot be right. So we publish the order, which the nakshatra fixes, and stop there.

🗳️ What about the "PM astrology" predictions?
What's out there

There is a whole recurring genre of articles and videos reading his chart for higher national office. It is widely discussed, and astrologers quoted in it disagree with one another.

What we compute

Nothing. AxtroShastra does not publish election forecasts about any candidate or party, and no line on this page claims a birth chart explains or predicts a political outcome.

What astrologers say in public is what astrologers say. What our engine computes is planetary positions. We keep those two things clearly apart, and this is the whole of our answer.

🧘 What about marriage, manglik and the 7th house?
What's public

He is a sanyasi — a monk of the Nath sampradaya, and Mahant of the Gorakhnath Math since 2014. Celibacy is part of that vow. This is public, biographical fact, stated here without comment.

What we compute

Marriage-timing questions do not apply to a renunciate, so this page does not run one — no marriage window, no partner reading, no compatibility score.

And separately, a manglik verdict needs the house Mars sits in; houses need an exact birth minute; there isn't one. Two independent reasons to leave it alone. The sign-level fact, which is all the date settles: his Mars is in Gemini, a neutral placement.

Being straight with you: every factual statement on this page is public record. The astrology is traditional interpretation, offered for education and entertainment — never a claim about any real event, policy, legal matter or anyone's motives, never a judgement of anyone's public work, and never a forecast of any election.
What the sky wrote

Four placements. Four receipts.

Each card pairs one computed placement with a real photo of him, from a distinct public event — never a picture of the planet itself.

  • Jupiter runs teaching, judgement, dharma — and, in the older texts, renunciation. His sits in Sagittarius, one of the two signs Jupiter owns outright.
  • It is also retrograde, and it sits in Mula, the nakshatra whose name means "the root". Mula's own ruler is Ketu, the graha of detachment.
  • This is the only placement on this page that needs no caveat whatsoever. We recomputed it at every one of the 1,440 minutes of his birth date. It never moves.

Three planets crammed into one strip of sky

  • Sun, Mercury and Saturn all sit in Taurus — and not merely in the same sign, but in the same nakshatra, Rohini. A nakshatra spans 13°20′. Three of the nine grahas are inside it.
  • Mercury and Saturn are both combust: close enough to the Sun that they would be lost in its glare to the naked eye.
  • The traditional word for a pile-up like this is concentration — a lot of the chart's weight in one narrow band rather than spread around the wheel. What it produces is interpretation. That it exists is arithmetic.
🔭 Sun · Rohini pada 4. Mercury · Rohini pada 4, combust. Saturn · Rohini pada 3, combust. All three stable across 100% of the day.

The one graha that refuses to sit still

  • The Moon is the placement that sets the entire dasha order — and it is the only graha in this chart that actually moves across his birth date.
  • Measured minute by minute: his Moon is in Purva Bhadrapada for 94.2% of 5 June 1972. Before 1:23am IST it is still in the previous nakshatra, Shatabhisha. And it is in Aquarius for 78.3% of the day — after 6:47pm IST it has crossed into Pisces.
  • So "his rashi is Aquarius" is very probably true, and it is not certain. We would rather hand you the percentage than round it up to a fact.
🔭 Moon in Aquarius, Purva Bhadrapada. 78.3% and 94.2% of the day respectively; the two boundaries fall at 18:47 and 01:23 IST.

The eight that don't budge

  • Rahu sits in Capricorn in Uttara Ashadha; Ketu opposite it, in Cancer in Pushya. Both hold sign, nakshatra and pada at every minute of the day.
  • Venus is retrograde in Ardra and Mars is in Punarvasu — Gemini holds them both, and neither moves either.
  • Add the Taurus three and Jupiter, and eight of the nine grahas here are settled by the birth date alone. That is unusually generous for a chart with no birth time, and it is exactly why this page can say a great deal without ever guessing an hour.

Astrology, but make it make sense

Zero background needed. Read this once and you can decode the birth chart above yourself — no astrologer required.

LESSON 01

What a birth chart even is

A kundli, or janam kundli, is a snapshot of the sky from the exact spot and second someone was born — where each planet was sitting, frozen.

Vedic astrology treats that snapshot as the raw material a person was handed. Not a fate. A starting kit.

His: 5 June 1972, Panchur in Pauri Garhwal. That sky had the Sun, Mercury and Saturn in Taurus, Mars and Venus in Gemini, and Jupiter in Sagittarius. Those placements do most of the talking on this page.
LESSON 02

The planets, and what each one does

Nine of them, the navagraha. Think of them as nine departments, each running one part of a life.

PlanetRunsWhere his is
☉ Sunego, authority, the selfTaurus · Rohini
☾ Mooninstinct, mind, moodAquarius · Purva Bhadrapada (78% / 94%)

☊ Rahuambition, obsession, expansionCapricorn · Uttara Ashadha
☋ Ketuletting go, detachmentCancer · Pushya
LESSON 03

Why "which sign" actually matters

Every planet has signs where it is comfortable and signs where it struggles. Same planet, different room, different output.

  • Home ground (own sign) — the planet owns the place. Full strength, no permission needed.
  • Debilitated (weakest spot) — working with the handbrake on.
  • Everywhere else (neutral) — a guest. Functional, not special.
His scorecard is lopsided: one planet on home ground — Jupiter in Sagittarius — and not a single debilitated planet anywhere. Every other graha is neutral. Most charts carry at least one weak spot; this one doesn't, and it has exactly one strong one.
LESSON 04

Dashas — why timing is normally the whole game

This is the bit most people have never heard of, and it is usually the most useful part of a chart.

Planets don't all act at once. They take turns running a life, for years at a stretch, in a fixed order that the Moon's exact position sets at birth. A planet's turn is a dasha; the full lifetime sequence is the Vimshottari dasha.

His order, computed:
Jupiter → Saturn → Mercury → Ketu → Venus → Sun → Moon → Mars → Rahu

That order is real and we will stand behind it. The dates are a different story — that's the next lesson, and it's the most important one on this page.
LESSON 05

Why you will not find a single dasha date here

The nakshatra fixes the order. But the balance of the very first dasha — how much of it was already used up at the moment of birth — depends on exactly where inside that nakshatra the Moon sat. And the Moon covers roughly 13 degrees a day, while a nakshatra is only 13°20′ wide.

So across one single day, the Moon sweeps nearly the whole nakshatra. The order holds. Every date slides.

We measured it, rather than assuming. Running his chart at all 1,440 minutes of 5 June 1972:

· his first mahadasha ends anywhere between October 1972 and June 1988 — a sixteen-year swing
· the second one ends anywhere between 1991 and 2007
· the mahadasha running today is Ketu for an early birth and Venus for a later one

There is no honest way to pick one. So we publish none of them. A site that shows you dates has silently chosen an hour — it is worth asking which.
LESSON 06

The two boundaries the Moon crosses that day

Nakshatras are 27 lunar mansions carving up the sky, each ruled by a planet. Whichever one the Moon occupies at birth decides which planet's mahadasha runs first.

His Moon is in Purva Bhadrapada, ruled by Jupiter — which is why the order in Lesson 04 begins with Jupiter. But there are two moving parts on his birth date, and both are worth knowing:

· 01:23 IST — the Moon leaves Shatabhisha and enters Purva Bhadrapada. A birth before that minute would start the whole sequence with Rahu instead of Jupiter. That covers the first 5.8% of the day.

· 18:47 IST — the Moon leaves Aquarius and enters Pisces. His nakshatra is unchanged either side of it, but his rashi — the Moon sign people usually mean by "zodiac sign" — is Aquarius for 78.3% of the day and Pisces for the other 21.7%.

Both numbers are on this page instead of being rounded away. That is the difference between reporting a measurement and asserting a fact.
LESSON 07

What we genuinely can't tell you

Here is where most celebrity astrology pages quietly cheat, and we won't.

A chart has two halves. Which sign each planet is in needs only the date, so everything above is solid. And the houses, which need the exact minute, because the rising sign changes roughly every two hours.

No verified birth time exists for him. A 6:00am figure circulates, unrated and without a documented source — and you can see the consequence from the outside: astrology sites publish different ascendants for him, which is what happens when everyone picks their own hour.

We checked what the damage would be. Across his birth date the ascendant passes through all twelve signs. So you will not see us say "his tenth house of career" or "his seventh house of marriage" anywhere on this page. That would be a guess wearing a lab coat.
LESSON 08

So — is Yogi Adityanath manglik?

It is one of the most-searched astrology questions about almost anyone, and here it has two separate honest answers, both of which are "this doesn't apply".

First: "manglik" is a marriage-matching concept, and he is a sanyasi — a renunciate monk, Mahant of the Gorakhnath Math. Marriage-timing analysis simply isn't a question his life poses, so this page doesn't run one.

Second, and independently: manglik status depends on which house Mars occupies, houses need the birth minute, and there isn't a verified one.

What the date does settle: his Mars is in Gemini, in Punarvasu — a neutral placement by sign. That is the entire honest answer. Any page giving you a confident manglik yes or no for him has invented a birth time and not mentioned it.

Quick answers

What people ask about his kundli

FAQ 01

What is Yogi Adityanath's birth time?

There is no verified birth time. A time of 6:00am circulates on astrology sites, but it is unrated and carries no documented source, and different sites publish different ascendants for him — the outward symptom of an unconfirmed time. This page therefore publishes only what holds without one: his planetary signs, his nakshatra and his dasha order. Never houses, never a lagna, never a dasha date, never a manglik verdict.

FAQ 02

What is Yogi Adityanath's zodiac sign and nakshatra?

By Vedic reckoning his Moon sign — his rashi — is Aquarius, and his Moon's nakshatra is Purva Bhadrapada. Both come with a measured caveat rather than a flat claim: across his birth date the Moon is in Purva Bhadrapada for 94.2% of the day and in Aquarius for 78.3% of it, so the later the birth, the more likely Pisces becomes. His Sun sign is Taurus, in Rohini nakshatra; Western (tropical) astrology uses a different calculation and usually calls him Gemini. Every position on this page is computed by our own engine, not copied.

FAQ 03

What is Yogi Adityanath's current dasha or mahadasha?

This one cannot be answered honestly, and it is worth explaining why rather than dodging. The Vimshottari order is fixed by the Moon's nakshatra, so we can publish that: Jupiter → Saturn → Mercury → Ketu → Venus → Sun → Moon → Mars → Rahu. The dates are set by exactly where inside that nakshatra the Moon sat, and the Moon moves about 13° a day — nearly a whole nakshatra. We ran his chart at all 1,440 minutes of 5 June 1972: his first mahadasha ends anywhere between October 1972 and June 1988, and the mahadasha running today comes out Ketu for an early birth and Venus for a later one. Without a verified minute, naming one would be invention, not calculation.

FAQ 04

Is Yogi Adityanath manglik, and what does his chart say about marriage?

Neither question applies here, for two independent reasons. He is a sanyasi — a monk of the Nath sampradaya and Mahant of the Gorakhnath Math since 2014 — so this page runs no marriage-timing analysis and no compatibility matching, out of respect for that. And a manglik verdict depends on which house Mars occupies, which requires an exact birth minute nobody has verified. What the birth date does settle, and all we will state: his Mars is in Gemini, in Punarvasu nakshatra, a neutral placement by sign.

Method. Every placement on this page is computed with the Swiss Ephemeris using the Lahiri ayanamsa — the same engine behind every AxtroShastra report — and cross-checked at ten-minute intervals across the whole of 5 June 1972, then bisected to the exact minute at each boundary. Because his birth time is not publicly verified (Rodden rating X), we publish only what the birth date settles: planetary signs, nakshatras and padas, and the Vimshottari dasha order. We deliberately publish no dasha dates, no lagna, no houses and no manglik verdict, and we state the Moon's coverage as a percentage rather than rounding it to a claim.

About. Yogi Adityanath is the serving Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and a religious figure, and this page is written accordingly. Every biographical statement here is a matter of public record. Nothing on this page endorses, criticises or evaluates him, his party, his office or his public work; nothing here comments on policy, legislation, law-and-order matters, litigation or any community; and nothing here forecasts any election or any political outcome for any candidate. Where public astrological commentary about him exists, we describe it as what astrologers say and keep it separate from what our engine computes. Astrological interpretation is offered for education and entertainment only — never as a statement of fact about anyone's life, and never as an explanation of, or blame for, any real event. His birth name, Ajay Mohan Singh Bisht, and his monastic name are both stated here as neutral biographical fact. No disrespect is intended to anyone named.
